The Additional Support Needs Development Officer develops, adapts, and delivers Gàidhlig educational materials for learners with different support needs.

Duties
- Creating a range of Gàidhlig teaching materials (visual resources, worksheets, and digital materials) tailored to different support needs.
- Participating in project teams as required.
- Creating, versioning and authoring materials where appropriate.
- Liaising with schools and local authorities.
- Keeping up-to-date with new linguistic and educational guidelines with regard to Gàidhlig as a subject and participating in training courses approved by the Line Manager.
- Ensuring that resources align with the curriculum framework.
- Liaising with Stòrlann’s Quality Team to ensure the accuracy, appropriate language standard, and cultural authenticity of all materials.
- Liaising with appropriate bodies, as agreed by Stòrlann, to contribute to resource development.
- Ensuring that all duties and responsibilities are carried out in a safe manner so that no risk to health and safety arises to you, any other employee or member of the public.
- Participating in lifelong learning events to present and showcase Stòrlann’s educational resources, for example through in-service training sessions.
- Travelling when required to execute the responsibilities of the post.
- Any other duties that are compatible with the grade of the post and may need to be allocated, from time-to-time, to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the service.

The role focuses on creating educational materials for learners, educators, and the wider Gaelic community that are accessible and accurate in terms of both language and culture.

- Assisting with the development and delivery of Stòrlann’s core publishing programme, particularly in relation to primary school resources such as worksheets, lesson plans, listening scripts, videos, and educational games.
